Lola T 298 HU-99
The car, chassis HU-99, is one of the most original T298 existing, if not the most original. It was purchased new by Italian driver Stefano Bettoni in 1979 (when Italian ace Mauro Nesti was unbeatable in hillclimb races with a similar car) who raced HU-99 in 3 hillclimbs only before to go back to his Osella because easier to be driven by a gentleman driver.
Mr. Bettoni left the Lola in his garage for many years and sold the car, without engine, to the Italian collector Arrigo Fabris who, again, never used the car which was finally sold to the present owner in 1991.
HU-99 was submitted to a complete restoration even if it appeared as new and completely original, with the only problems related to the long period of inactivity.
This Lola is registered in the Lola Heritage Register and competed in many events by Peter Auto and Masters with several wins.
The car comes with full documentation of period including Certificate of Origin (all original) and current FIA HTP valid until 2026.
It is offered as rolling chassis with 2 sets of wheels, with slick and wet tyres, a complete front body already painted and some spare.
