Vernasca Silverflag 2025

The 29th edition of the Vernasca Silverflag took place under a sun that was already fully summery and with very high temperatures, once again demonstrating the quality and efficiency of this idea and the phenomenal organizational machine of the CPAE, Circolo Piacentino Auto d’Epoca.

Collectors arrived from all over the world, 8 even from Japan, and once again the jury had considerable difficulty in identifying the cars deserving of the highly coveted prize, which this year depicted an Alfa 33 TT12 in the tricolor white, red and green triptych.

The Best of Show of the event was for the pre-war cars the 1909 Fiat 130 hp masterfully restored by Mauto of Turin under the capable direction of Davide Lorenzone and for the post-war cars the official Marlboro group 4 Stratos of Alessandro Carrara, witness to the triptych of world championships won by the Italian manufacturers in 1975.

Much loved as always by the public were Arturo Merzario and Thierry Boutsen who not only handed out autographs, but also stories of experiences and emotions of the races in the magic times and took turns in the three climbs exchanging the driving of the 1964 Iso Grifo A3/C and the 1972 De Tomaso Pantera Gruppo 4, both brought to the event by Ebimotors CLASSIC which once again gave its significant presence to a highly successful event that is now completely focused on next year's edition which will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary.
